Oil Change Service at Tri-Valley Automotive
"How long should I go between Oil Changes"
The old standard answer used to be every 3000 miles. Manufactures now recommend between 5000 or 7000 miles. Some go as high as 10,000 miles. The true answer should be, “How long do you want your car to last?”
We recommend doing an Oil Change every 3000 for synthetic blend, or 5000 miles for full synthetic. Do this and your car will last a long time. Use synthetic oil and not only can you push the change interval out a couple thousand miles, but your engine will last even longer. We use a semi-synthetic oil to bridge the gap between price and quality.
Oil changes not only make your engine last longer, but it improves gas mileage and the engine runs cleaner. Both are good for the environment. And by the way, all waste oil and filters collected by Tri-Valley Automotive are recycled.
Our Oil Change Service includes the proper amount of high quality oil, a high quality Oil Filter, and a 55 point inspection. We check things like, brakes, fluid levels and how clean they are, state of the tune up and filters, and belts, among other things.
We also recommend doing an Oil System Flush with an oil treatment added to help the engine last longer and get better gas mileage.
